One of the first wineries to open on Georgetown Square over 18 years ago. Dan Marek was the original owner and paved the way for the other wineries to follow him over the years. They offer a variety of wine from dry wines to dessert wines as well as their own brand of fruit wines. They have received awards from both inside and outside the state of Texas. They serve many types of food and snacks that pair nicely with the wines.
Located in a 127-year-old historic building on the Georgetown Square, they have a small but comfortable tasting room. It is decorated in rustic decor and has just a few tables and seats at the bar. The staff here is very friendly and helpful in finding you the right wines to try. Their Red Poppy Moscato is their best seller and for good reason, it is light and refreshing. They also have a big selection of flavored olive oils that you can’t find at HEB or Walmart or Target.
The owners have recently remodeled the winery in 2021 and it looks fantastic! They have removed the dark wood and replaced it with soft white walls and a beautiful white decorative tin ceiling. They have also pushed the seating out along the length of the tasting room making more seating available. They still offer the same wine and services that were offered by the previous owners such as a wine club, private events, personalized labels and much more.
They have an amazing sweet peach fruit wine, a sweet red Sangiovese and a nice blend of Cabernet Sauvignon georgetown winery and Merlot called the Big Tex. The wines here are well priced and worth the visit if you happen to be in Georgetown or nearby Williamson County. I recommend stopping by to taste a few and enjoy the laid back atmosphere here!
